Milagro Cantina, a new 300-plus-seat restaurant, opened in downtown Kirkland this week. Milagro, taken from the Spanish word for “miracle,” is an 8,000-square-foot space offering sophisticated Mexican fare, one-of-a-kind art installations and comfortable, hand-selected design elements in an approachable setting.

The menu at Milagro draws upon foods, cultures and cooking techniques from across Mexico, encompassing the molés of Oaxaca, seafood from Baja, street foods of Mexico City, barbacoa from Central Mexico and the grilled foods found across Sonora. Milagro’s authentic cuisine will incorporate sustainable ingredients from Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. Executive Chef Chris Peterson’s menu is based on his extensive travel and research throughout Mexico, further enhanced by his 15 years of culinary experience as a private chef, sous chef at Café Campagne and most recently as the executive chef at the illustrious Bis on Main.

Milagro Cantina is located in downtown Kirkland at 148 Lake Street South. Soon to be considered the “crown jewel” of the Lake Street Place project, its food and drink offerings cover the northern and southern regions of Mexico with approachable sophistication. The restaurant includes original art installations and custom furnishings in a uniquely designed setting. Milagro will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Milagro offers self-parking at its private, 90-stall monitored lot throughout the day and complimentary valet (with validation) in the evenings. To learn more call 425-952-6270.
