Revel Consulting, a Kirkland-based business management consulting firm announced its sponsorship of Rad Racing Northwest (NW), a premier, junior cycling team. The team is now officially known as “Revel Consulting-Rad Racing NW.”

Through the sponsorship, Revel will help support Rad Racing’s training and racing programs for youth from across the Puget Sound area. In addition to financial support, Revel will donate consulting services to help the organization run more efficiently and reach a wider audience. Revel’s managing partner Brett Alston will also join the Rad Racing board of directors to provide executive-level resources and insight.

“Revel is proud to support Rad Racing NW as it helps young people achieve their own personal goals in life and in competition,” said Alston. “Through our Sustainable Giving program, we also saw a great opportunity for our associates to contribute with hands-on help to make Rad Racing’s operations as streamlined as its racers.”

Rad Racing’s mission is two-fold: to teach young people life lessons through the sport of cycling, and to develop top-level regional, national and international junior cyclists. Rad Racing team members train for and compete in cyclocross, road, track and mountain bike races. Revel’s sponsorship will help Rad Racing NW provide travel support for its riders to regional, national and international competitions, as well as “Rad Scholarships,” which fund items such as equipment, clothing, and competition entry fees.

“Revel has brought a unique sponsorship package to Rad Racing NW like we’ve never seen before – we’re just as excited about their consulting support as we are their financial support,” said Jim Brown, executive director of Rad Racing NW. “Our staff is already great at coaching and getting our riders ready for races, but to have access to Revel’s business expertise will help our entire organization move forward.”

Launched in 2009, Revel’s Sustainable Giving program aims to support area non-profit organizations, such as Rad Racing NW, by going beyond traditional monetary donations and providing consulting services that help ensure they can sustain their cause over the long run. In addition to financial support, Revel associates draw on their strong background as business management professionals to help organizations streamline operations, improve efficiencies, lower overhead and, in doing so, maximize impact.

Revel associates have also offered their project management and marketing expertise to Foster Kids 5K Run & Walk, Treehouse, and Roses & Rosemary.
