This April, a new program called “Don’t Drip and Drive” puts residents in the driver’s seat for finding an affordable fix to vehicle leaks.

Drivers can take their vehicle to a participating Automotive Service Association (ASA) repair shop for a free and easy visual inspection (a diagnostic service valued at up to $80).

If a leak is found, the driver will receive a coupon for 10 percent off service (up to $50) to fix the problem. The free inspection is especially recommended for vehicles that are 2005 models or older.

Every year hundreds of tons of oil and other petroleum-related products make their way into our lakes, streams and Puget Sound. By fixing leaks, participants can help reduce this pollution and extend the life of their vehicle.

Participating ASA repair shops in Kirkland:

• All Wheel Drive Auto, 8410 120th Ave. N.E., (425) 828-3600

• Jay’s Kirkland Auto Care, 817 7th Ave., (425) 822-3333

• Northwest Differential Service, 11914 124th Ave. N.E., (425) 827-2868

• Summers Automotive Service, 13205 N.E. 124th St. #B1, (425) 823-5214
