In celebration of the Super Bowl, Ford of Kirkland owner Jim Walen and Denver-based Sill-Terhar Motors owner Beau Smith have placed a friendly wager.

If the Seattle Seahawks win, Ford of Kirkland employees get a Rocky Mountain themed lunch courtesy of Sill-Terhar Motors but if the Denver Broncos win, Ford of Kirkland will need to provide their employees with a Northwest themed lunch.

Think salmon, Walen said.

Furthermore, Walen and the rest of Ford of Kirkland invites the public to a Seahawks rally at the dealership’s showroom on Blue Friday, Jan. 31.

Ford of Kirkland employees will take photos and film a video to show Sill-Terhar Motors what the 12th Man is all about.

“I want Denver to be in second place,” Walen said, adding that he’s originally from Denver. “It’s our turn.”

Walen asks that rally-goers wear Seahawks colors, jerseys and other team gear.

“The more Seahawks boosters and supporters — the 12th Man is huge — the better,” Walen said. “It’s big and hopefully it’s going to lead the team to victory.”

The rally will begin at noon and last about an hour. Hot dogs will be provided as well.

The dealership is located at 11800 124th Ave. NE in Kirkland.
