Local kids choose new shoes as a part of the annual Shoes from Santa event at the Totem Lake Fred Meyer. Hundreds of children and parents showed up at 6 a.m. on Saturday for the event. Retired local realtor Craig Shriner began the event as an alternative to a company holiday party eight years ago. Volunteers from Windermere Real Estate helped to raise the money to buy the shoes and also helped to organize the event.
