Madison House in Kirkland honors World War II veterans

Madison House in Kirkland had a display, the Home Front Military Museum, to honor the retirement and assisted living facility’s veterans, residents and staff on Monday.

The event also included the 56th Army I Corps Honor Guard and Jazz Combo NCOIC.

Two Madison House residents who were honored during the event include World War II veteran Dr. Rollin Hurd, who was an Army combat medic and received a silver and bronze star.

Also, Don Ness was an Army corporal during World War II, who belonged to the first battalion to enter Hiroshima after the bombing.
