This week Ford of Kirkland will begin accepting donations for its first ever Halloween costume drive benefiting the Kirkland branch of the King County Boys & Girls Club.
“We’re really excited about this costume drive and we’re proud to be partnering with an organization that helps so many young people in our community,” said Jim Walen, President of Ford of Kirkland. “Hopefully, because of Ford of Kirkland, there are going to be plenty of ghouls and goblins trick-or-treating this year for Halloween.”
Organizers hope to raise more than 100 costumes for local children who cannot afford their own.
“Halloween is such a fun time of year for kids,” said Bridget Powers, Executive Director for the Kirkland Club. “We really appreciate Ford of Kirkland getting into the spirit and they have been such a wonderful supporter of our club. This will be a ‘monster’ of an event.”
Members of the public are encouraged to participate and costumes will be accepted from Oct.1-15.
To donate, please drop your costume (appropriate for ages 6-15) by the pumpkin colored Ford Focus at the Ford of Kirkland showroom at 11800 124th Ave NE in Kirkland.
