Lake Washington holds on for late goal to beat Mercer Island | Prep girls soccer

The Lake Washington High School girls soccer team shutout the Islanders Tuesday and got a late goal to win 1-0 on Mercer Island.

Lake Washington’s only goal of the game came as Holly Styant-Browne took a pass from Anna Henderson and put into the back of the Islander goal during the second half.

Maeve O’Connor earned the shutout in goal for the Kangs.

Lake Washington improved to 8-2 with the win and will host Kennedy at 6 p.m. on Oct. 24.
