The Juanita High School football team opened the regular season with a 24-17 victory at Inglemoor High School.

The victory was made possible by a fourth quarter, five yard touchdown pass from Derek Kaufman to Brad Bomberry.

Both previous touchdowns for the Rebels came on 36-yard plays from scrimmage. The first was a run by Jerimiah Laufasa and the second a pass from Kaufman to wide receiver Kris Otterholt.

The win avenges a tough loss to Inglemoor last season.

The Rebels will play at 7 p.m. on Friday at Redmond High School.
