I saw your article about the displaced SilverSneaker members and I want to let you know that the Kirkland Parks and Recreation Department offers a comparable class called EnhanceFitness at the Peter Kirk Community Center.

EnhanceFitness is a unique, comprehensive program developed by the University of Washington and Group Health Studies that is safe for adults ages 50-plus with a wide range of physical abilities. The program includes stretching, low-impact aerobics, walking, balance training, strength exercises and motivation.

The class meets from 8:15-10:15 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. EnhanceFitness is a covered benefit for persons covered by Medicare Parts A and B and enrolled in a Group Health Medicare+Choice (M+C) plan. For more information about this program, please call 425-587-3360.
