Lake Washington fell to Inglemoor 162.15 to 119.7 on Dec. 4.

Sydney Woolf took third in the vault for Lake Washington with a score of 8.1. Inglemoor’s Becca Berge, Amy Sisk, Shawna Kelly and Lauren Eykholt combined to sweep the rest of the top three spots in the other events.

Juanita placed fourth out of five teams in a non-league match on Dec. 4. Woodinville won with a score of 178.75. Garfield and Redmond followed before Juanita came in with 116.9 points.

Natalie Dean tied for third in the vault with a score of 8.6 for the Rebels’ only top-three finish.

Boys basketball

Juanita fell in two non-league games last week. The Rebels lost 51-48 to Glacier Peak on Dec. 1, then 67-38 against Redmond on Dec. 2.

Jesse Zackery led the Rebels in scoring in both games. He tallied 16 against Glacier Peak and 11 against Redmond. Jake Ichikawa scored 11 against Glacier Peak, Christian Bingcang scored nine against Redmond.

Girls basketball

Juanita went 1-2 in an opening run of non-league games. The Rebels started with a 58-52 win over Bishop Blanchet on Nov. 29. Next the team lost to Redmond 79-54 on Dec. 2 and fell again 47-40 to Glacier Peak on Dec. 3.

Juanita outscored Bishop Blanchet 24-8 in the final quarter in the first game. Olivia Marshall and Tori Close combined for 18 in that fourth quarter and 33 in the game. Close added nine rebounds and four steals in the game.

Redmond had a halftime lead of just seven points, but shot 42 percent from the field and hit 21 free throws to pull away against the Rebels. Marshall scored 18 points.

Marshall led the Rebels in scoring against Glacier Peak, with 12 points.

Lake Washington beat Highline 59-33 in a non-league season-opener Dec. 2.

Olivia Lewis led all scorers with 19 points for the Kangs. Kate rasmussen and Colleen Walsh each scored 10.

Sammy Brender tallied seven steals and seven assists. Walsh also collected nine rebounds.
