Wednesday, Jan. 3
Domestic: At 9:36 p.m., police responded to a domestic assault call from the 450 block of Central Way. It was reported that a 19-year-old man had hit his girlfriend. The girlfriend told police that she had been sleeping when she was awakened by her boyfriend slapping her in the face. She had a noticeable red mark on her check in the outline of a hand print. The suspect stated that he slapped her in an attempt to wake her up because she was mumbling gibberish. He was transported to the Kirkland Jail, where he was booked for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
Warrant arrest: At 2:14 a.m., a 46-year-old woman in the 14900 block of Juanita-Woodinville Way N.E. was arrested on her outstanding felony/misdemeanor warrants during a traffic stop.
Tuesday, Jan. 2
Warrant arrest: At 11:18 p.m., a 34-year-old man in the 13000 block of N.E. 112th St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken into custody without custody.
Possession: At 10:56 p.m., a 26-year-old man was arrested on his outstanding theft warrant after being contacted at the Kirkland Transit Center in the 200 block of 3rd Street for a welfare check. During a search incident, narcotics were found on his person. The suspect was charged through an investigation for possession.
Monday, Jan. 1
Domestic: At 11:02 p.m., police responded to a call from the 14500 block of 127th Ave. N.E. for a physical domestic incident. The suspect, an 18-year-old man, grabbed his girlfriend in a headlock, causing her pain, and wrestled her inside her vehicle. The girlfriend fled from the suspect and went to a friend’s house before calling police. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived.
Voyeurism: At 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a peeping tom at an apartment complex. Upon arrival, police found the suspect standing on top of a ladder and peering into the bedroom window of a unit, where the resident was taking a shower. The suspect had begun removing the window screen when he was contacted by police and detained. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of voyeurism and attempted residential burglary. The man lives in the complex.
Theft: At 2:16 p.m., a 68-year-old man was stopped by security at the Goodwill in the 9800 block of N.E. 132nd St. He was found to have $24 worth of items with him that he had left the store without paying for. The man was cited and released for theft and turned over to his son, who said his father had been acting strange lately.
Sunday, Dec. 31
Not-so-brotherly love: At 5:38 p.m., police responded to a report of a domestic argument between two brothers in the 240 block of 5th Ave. W. The suspect, a 48-year-old, threatened to assault his 51-year-old brother. The older man recorded the threat on his cell phone and the younger brother attacked him and took his phone. The older brother used another phone to call the police and the older brother fled the residence.
Trespass: At 1:44 p.m., a 58-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after staff at EvergreenHealth in the 12000 block of N.E. 128th St. reported him as an unwanted subject in the emergency department and he would not leave.
Saturday, Dec. 30
Suspicious circumstances: At 11:33 a.m., two individuals were reported to be looking through vehicles parked at an apartment complex in the 12200 block of N.E. 131st Way. One suspect, a 32-year-old man, was arrested after drugs and paraphernalia were found.
Friday, Dec. 29
Warrant arrest: At 1:03 a.m., a 22-year-old woman in the 12000 block of N.E. 128th St. was arrested on her misdemeanor warrant for third-degree theft.
Thursday, Dec. 28
DUI: A 28-year-old man was arrested at 1:34 a.m. for driving under the influence after he crashed his car into Juanita Beach Park. There was significant damage to vegetation and the suspect took out a concrete picnic table that was bolted into the ground. The suspect fled on foot and was contacted by police at a gas station at 98th Avenue and Northeast 116th Street, keys in hand. A K-9 unit provided a confirmation track from the crashed vehicle to the suspect’s location.
Harassment: At 12:28 a.m., it was reported that a 36-year-old man at EvergreenHealth in the 12000 block of N.E. 128th St. was lighting things on fire and digging through the trash. When hospital security told him to leave, the suspect lunged at them and said he was going to hurt them. The suspect was arrested for harassment and booked into SCORE Jail.
