Voter registration deadline is Monday to vote in August primary election

The following is a release from King County Elections:

King County residents not currently registered to vote in Washington can register in person at the King County Elections office or the Voter Registration Annex through 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28.

8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays

To register to vote, you must be:

  • A citizen of the United States;
  • A legal resident of Washington State;
  • At least 18 years old by election day;
  • Not disqualified from voting due to a court order; and
  • Not under Department of Corrections supervision for a Washington felony conviction.

Returning your ballot

Voters can return their ballots, postmarked no later than Aug. 5, through the mail, or by 8 p.m. Aug. 5 at any of 25 locations without a stamp, including ballot drop boxesscheduled ballot drop-off vans, and accessible voting centers.

Registered voters who have not received a ballot, or need a replacement ballot, should call the voter hotline at 206-296-VOTE (8683).
