More than 20 Rotary Club of Kirkland Downtown members prepared hundreds of food packages assembly-line style at the First Baptist Church of Kirkland on May 3.
Members poured lentils, chicken powder, dried beans, rice and other goods into plastic bags, which will go to the Children of the Nations organization and provide approximately 4,000 meals for needy children around the world.
The Rotary Club of Kirkland Downtown meets at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the Crab Cracker, 452 Central Way, Kirkland.
