Lake Washington School District teachers walked out of class on Wednesday to protest a lack of state funding for public schools.

The walk out included Kirkland teachers, who picketed major intersections in the city in objection to the state legislature not complying with a State Supreme Court decision that the government was in violation of the law.

The walk out resulted in Kirkland students missing class on Wednesday, which will be made up in June.
