Claudia Balducci earns key endorsements from Democratic leadership

Bellevue Mayor Claudia Balducci, who is running for King County Council to represent the Eastside, announced the endorsements of Democratic leaders US Senator Patty Murray, King County Executive Dow Constantine, and former Governor Christine Gregoire.
US Senator Patty Murray said, “Claudia Balducci is the total package. She is smart, tireless, and stands up for what she believes in. As Bellevue Mayor she has been a steadfast partner delivering time and again for local families. I know she will bring the same passion to the King County Council.”
King County Executive Dow Constantine said, “Claudia has built an impressive record of achievement, delivering results for the Eastside and our region. As a Sound Transit Board member she brought all of us to the table and forged solutions that work for Eastside businesses and commuters. She has led on expanding transit, improving safety, and protecting quality of life. Claudia Balducci is an exceptional public servant and Eastside communities will benefit from her leadership on the County Council.”
Former Governor Christine Gregoire said, “The Eastside deserves a Councilmember who shares their values and will work every day to move our region forward. It is no surprise that leaders at every level are backing Claudia Balducci for King County Council – she is exactly the kind of leader we need.”
These recent supporters join an impressive list of endorsers including The Seattle Times which said, “Balducci matches the experience with a grit and energy for tackling difficult issues…Balducci has proven to be a leader with an intellectual honesty. She set aside contentious partisanship on the Bellevue City Council to hammer out the Sound Transit deal. And she is in tune with changing demographics on the Eastside.”
Balducci’s broad and growing list of endorsements includes Bellevue Firefighters; King County Labor Council; King County Democrats; NARAL Pro-Choice WA; Congressmembers Suzan DelBene and Adam Smith; State Senator Cyrus Habib; State Representatives Ross Hunter, Joan McBride, Tana Senn, Judy Clibborn, and Marcie Maxwell (former); Bellevue Councilmembers Lynne Robinson and John Stokes; and former Bellevue Mayor Connie Marshall.
