A pooch named Louie listens to Alexander Graham Bell kindergartner Emory Herbert read 'Carl's Afternoon in the Park.'

About 50 Alexander Graham Bell Elementary students read to several dogs recently as part of the “Reading with Rover” program.

The community-based literacy program volunteers in schools and libraries around the Puget Sound. For information, visit www.readingwithrover.org.
