Juanita girls soccer falls to Mercer Island 3-1

Juanita lost at Mercer Island 3-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The Rebels’ only goal was scored by Tori Lee off a penalty kick with 8:24 left in the game. The penalty was assessed after a Mercer Island hand ball in the goalie box following a corner kick.

Lee kicked the ball to the far left-hand side of the goal, just out of Islander goalie Corey Goelz’s reach.

Juanita had tied all three of its previous games this season.
