Eight-run first propels Liberty past Rebel baseball team, 12-8

Liberty scored eight first-inning runs Monday and held off a late rally by the Juanita baseball team for a 12-8 victory.

The Rebels managed to score five runs during the sixth inning but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback as they trailed 12-2 after four innings.

Conner Rusch continues to swing a hot bat as he went 3-for-4 with five RBI during the contest for the Rebels.
