Bivens dominates Sammamish at the plate and with shutout for Kangs | Prep softball

The defensing state champion Lake Washington High School softball team pounded Sammamish, 14-0, on Friday in Bellevue.

The Kangs scored five in the first, four in the second, four in the third and one during the fifth to finish the game with the mercy rule.

Tori Bivens did most of the damage, going 3-for-4 at the plate with seven RBI and also threw a complete game shutout, striking out nine batters.

Maddie Brown also added a home run and three RBI.
