Parkplace Books has selected “Art of Racing in the Rain,” by author Garth Stein as the fourth title of its program, If All Of Kirkland Read the Same Book. This program is co-sponsored by Parkplace Books and the Kirkland Library (Friends of the Library). Over the summer, Parkplace Books invites the public to read the book, a bittersweet tale of family, love, loyalty and hope as told by Enzo, the philosophic canine narrator. Also, at 7 p.m. Oct. 8, readers will have the opportunity to meet with Garth Stein at Parkplace Books, located at 348 Parkplace Center. For information, call 425-828-6546.
