The Overlake Farms and Friends Mounted Carolers annual Christmas Caroling from the Saddle took place earlier this month, as carolers made their way through the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Kirkland.

About a dozen or so riders took part, including Santa, Mrs. Claus and an “elf” Katherine, who is visiting from Switzerland. The group serenaded the Bridleview neighborhood, as well, then took a turn right through the the Bridle Trails Shopping center parking lot.

“All horses behaved like the troopers they are and all had a wonderful time,” said caroler Caroline Callender. “It’s good to remember what sets Bridle trails neighborhood apart from just any old suburban Eastside neighborhood; the horses.”
