Congresswoman Suzan DelBene serves a customer as a temporary barista at the Starbucks in Kirkland's Houghton neighborhood.

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene visited the Houghton Plaza Starbucks in Kirkland to hear about the company’s programs to employ students and veterans. She then took a turn as a barista.

Employees at the Houghton Plaza Starbucks joined DelBene in a discussion on veterans’ employment and tuition benefits for working students. Donning a green apron, DelBene then spent some time behind the bar making drinks for customers, including learning to make a soy latte.
