Orchids to John Scannell for his well-written letter in your Oct. 5 edition. Another bouquet to the Reporter for printing it. Too soon we will know if his pleading and excellent reasoning reached the correct ears (notice I didn’t say Right ears). As he said “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness “ should not be taken for granted.
