The Kirkland American Little League Mariners beat the Kirkland National Little League Diamondbacks, 3-2, on June 8 in the majors division city championship game. The Mariners are: back row (left to right) — Manager Casey Calkin, Carter Calkin, Lochlan Senecal, Levi Marshall, Logan Norris, Reilly Jones, Aiden Gilbert, coach Doug Norris and coach Rich Senecal; front row (left to right) — Dallas Norris, Hunter Hinzman, Aiden Mehlberg, Tyler Scalese, Shane Johnson and Jinwoo Chang. Logan Norris homered and had two RBIs, Calkin had a hit and one RBI and Dallas Norris had a hit. The game was a pitchers’ duel with both teams’ pitchers throwing well.
