The Juanita High baseball team only put the ball in play 11 times in an 8-2 KingCo League loss to Interlake on Monday, April 18, in Bellevue.
The Rebels (6-10 overall, 6-8) managed three hits against Steve Emanuals and John Buscher, who combined for 12 strikeouts and only four walks.
Juanita took an early lead in the top of the first inning as Orion Enfield scored on an error, but Interlake pushed eight runs across the plate before the Rebels would score again.
JD Worchester had the lone RBI for Juanita on a fly ball to left field with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning. The next two batters were struck out in a total of seven pitches, stranding all three runners.
The Rebels have lost their last two games following an extra-innings win over Sammamish, and are in the midst of four losses in their last five outings.
Next, Juanita is scheduled to take on league-leading Lake Washington at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Lee Johnson Field in Kirkland.
