Kangs win 6-0 at Safeco Field | Prep baseball

The Lake Washington High baseball team shook off some early rust for a 6-0 nonleague win over Nathan Hale High on Saturday at Safeco Field in Seattle.
The Kangs (13-1 overall, 11-1) cobbled together three pitchers for a 1-hit effort.
Jake Steele scored on a passed ball in the top of the fourth inning for the first run of the game. Kevin DePartee followed with an RBI double to left field, and Jake Wikel singled to left field, scoring DePartee.
Lake Washington scored two run in the top of the sixth on a pair of errors, and tacked on a sixth run in the top of the seventh inning on an RBI single from Kalvin Westre.
Connor Johnson got the win on the mound for the Kangs, going three innings with no hits, three strikeouts and one walk. Marcus Notebloom and Ethan Liggett each pitched two innings, with Nathan Hale finally grabbing a hit in the bottom of the seventh.
Lake Washington emptied the bench for a game on such a big stage, allowing 18 players an at-bat at Safeco Field.
Next, the Kangs are scheduled to play Bellevue High at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 18, at Lee Johnson Field in Kirkland.
