Kirklanders show support for Hawks at downtown rally

Hundreds of Seahawks fans turned out on Friday during a rally for the team at Kirkland’s Marina Park.

The 12th Man bus, sponsored by the Seahawks, showed up the event with alumni players, including former wide receiver Sydney Rice. A giant 12th Man flag was also flown over Kirkland from a plane. The Seahawks drum line Blue Thunder and the Seagals were also in attendance.

Kirkland Mayor Amy Walen raised the 12th Man flag at the park as well.

The rally is for the Hawks playoff game at 10 a.m. this Sunday in Carolina against the Panthers.

The event was presented by the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and the Kirkland Downtown Association.
