Lake Washington shuts out Juanita | Prep baseball

The Lake Washington High School baseball team earned a 6-0 victory against Juanita on Friday at Lee Johnson Field in downtown Kirkland.
The Kangs were led by starting pitcher Connor Johnson, who baffled the Rebel hitters for six innings, giving up just three hits, walking three and striking out two. Johnson picked up the victory.
Lake Washington took a three-run lead during the first inning and added another run during the second. The Kangs scored two more during the fifth to put the game out of reach.
The Kang offense was led by Tom Scheffler, who was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jake Wikel and Austin Lively also had an RBI each.
Rebels Dexter Mell and Blake Voutour both finished with two hits.
Lake Washington will host Liberty at 4 p.m. today, while Juanita will travel to Bellevue for a 4 p.m. game today.
