Kirkland Performance Center to host story telling project the Verbalists

Published 5:16 pm Monday, October 20, 2014

The holidays aren’t always what we expect. The storytelling project Verbalists explores the highlights and lowlifes of the holiday season at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Kirkland Performance Center.

“Holidays can be weird,” said producer Wesley K. Andrews. “And they don’t always happen how or where we want them to. Sometimes we meet people. Sometimes we lose them. And sometimes we have to build our own nativity scene in the Central American jungle because the helicopter left without us.”
All of this and more in the new Verbalists performance Nothing But The Truth. Nothing But The Truth is a show for adults featuring mature content.
Modern storytelling blurs the lines between stand-up comedy, theater, and hanging out with your friends. Verbalists features live music to create an immersive narrative experience like none other. Fans of This American Life, Prairie Home Companion or The Moth will feel right at home.
All stories are completely true. Story summaries available: contact wes@wesleykandrews.com.
The Kirkland Performance Center is located at 350 Kirkland Ave. in Kirkland.

Tickets are $20 and available at www.kpcenter.org/performances/storytelling-for-the-holidays or by phone at 425-893-9900.
Underwritten by 4Culture and the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission.
