I am opposed to the ban on plastic grocery bags that the city of Kirkland is now considering. Those plastic bags with their straps make it easy to carry groceries to the car. They don’t fall apart like brown paper bags do when they get wet in the rain. This ban would result in this north Kirkland resident driving to Bothell, Kenmore or Woodinville for convenient grocery shopping.
