Lake Washington comes up short in epic comeback | Prep volleyball

The Lake Washington High School volleyball team lost an epic match to Liberty 3-2 on Monday in Kirkland.

The Kangs fell behind 2-0 during the first two games, 25-19 and 25-14 and looked like they would get swept out of the gym. But Lake Washington battled back with an epic 27-25 game-three victory and then took the next game 26-24 to force a tiebreaker.

But the energy it took to tie the game left the Kangs spent, losing 15-7.

No individual results were reported.

Lake Washington will try to get back in the win column at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, as travel to Juanita High School to take on the rival Rebels.
