The 120th Street road extension is on pace for completion by November, says Kirkland’s project engineer Aparna Kharnal. Contracted work crews began this week building the street’s sidewalks, curbs and gutters. They also began installing crosswalk signals and other pedestrian amenities, including the protective handrails on the retaining wall at the project’s eastern-most end. Sanders General Construction will begin paving the road’s new surface in October, depending on the weather.
