Girl scout troops raise money for new swing in Kirkland park

Multiple girls scout troops came together and raised $426.75 for a new swing for the playground at Rose Hill Meadows Park. The swing is for those with disabilities and was dedicated on June 9.

The troops include: kindergarten Daisies – Troop No. 44316; second grade Brownies – Troop No. 43812; third grade Brownies – Troop No. 41126; and fourth grade Juniors – Troop No. 42895. The troops are associated with Holy Family Parish Brownie and Daisy Girl Scout Troops.

During the ceremony the troop presented Kirkland Parks Maintenance Supervisor Tim Werner with a check to go towards the purchase and installation of the swing.
