Juanita beats Mercer Island 9-3 | Prep girls softball

The Juanita High School girls softball team defeated Mercer Island Friday, 9-3, in Kirkland.

The Rebels were led by Morgan Figueroa and Aimee Rishardson with three hits, and Milly Kawabata, Lisa Nelson, Brynn Radke and Clare Sovacool, who hall collected two hits each.

Nelson earned the win from the pitching circle, throwing six innings and striking out eight batters, while Kawabata earned the save.
