The Lake Washington High School boys basketball team waged an epic comeback during the third quarter of Saturday’s game but came up just short 67-62 against Bishop Blanchet in Seattle.
The Kangs began the game slow, falling behind by nine during the first quarter and trailing 36-22 at halftime. But the team played much better during the third quarter, cutting into the lead by eight points. The momentum carried over into the start of the fourth quarter but the Kangs could not complete the comeback, as Blachet’s offense ultimately kept pace.
Drew Heimdahl led Lake Washington with 16 points, while teammates Kelly Guy and Quentin Moore finished with 12 points each. Jamal Muhammad had 10 points for the Kangs.
