Hoop – there it is: Kirkland youth basketball league offers play and learning

Calling all youth hoopsters. Register now for Kirkland’s youth basketball league (third through sixth grades) and have fun developing skills, learning teamwork, and making friends. Kirkland’s program offers equal play and a positive learning environment.
Register online at www.kirklandparks.net, or by calling (425) 587-3336 until Oct. 25. The fee is $92 and includes a team jersey.
Practice begins the week of Dec. 2 and games begin Jan. 11, 2014 at various elementary and middle schools in the Lake Washington School District.
Teams will benefit from working with dedicated, qualified and encouraging volunteer coaches who will lead players through positive interactions and encourage sportsmanship. Interested volunteer coaches are encouraged to call (425) 587-3360 for a coach’s application.
