Street work in Kirkland was a horrible idea | Letter

I live in the Brookhaven neighborhood and the city is in the process of doing a slurry overlay. This was a horrible idea. The streets are like driving on a gravel road. We had two days notice that the city was doing this, with no input from us who live here. I drive a brand new car and I am afraid of driving over this new surface. Not only that but the smell is disgusting.
