The Wolverines, a Coast-level girls softball team representing Kirkland National and Kirkland American Little Leagues, won the city championship with a 9-0 win over the Aquasox on June 15.

The Wolverines, coached by Chris Burke and Tami Mahler, went 10-6 over the course of the spring season and outscored opponents 31-10 in the four-game postseason tourney.
