How wrong can Mr. Lowe be? He’s angry, uninformed and going public with opinions, not facts.

Are more and longer traffic jams being created by bad regulations that were created by our existing planning staff?  Are property values being adversely affected?

Basically, staff and this council screwed up. The moratorium was an opportunity for them to correct their mistake(s).  Regulations regarding new development need to be improved. They were not.

State regulations (the Growth Management Act) state existing residents’ rights must be honored whenever new development is proposed that jeopardizes those rights and the conditions under which their properties were established.

Staff didn’t do it before the moratorium, nor are they protecting existing residential properties now.
