The Center for Ethical Leadership will recognize Shauna Yusko, a librarian in the Lake Washington School District, with a 2013 Leadership Legacy Award during an event March 28.
Yusko is the director of Pantry Packs, a program to ensure that students do not have to suffer hunger on the weekends or during school holidays.
In addition, the center also selected Darrell Hillaire and Mary Jean Ryan as award recipients. Hillaire is the treasurer of Lummi Nation; Ryan is the executive director of the Road Map Project.
This award identifies and celebrates Puget Sound individuals or groups whose vision, leadership and commitment advance the common good in local communities. The center is particularly interested in celebrating those who are often out of the traditional spotlight.
The awards will be presented at the 8th Annual Legacy Event from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Lake Union Café in Seattle.
Tickets are $60 and include dinner. Tickets must be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/316303.
