A small army of quartets will fan out around the Seattle area this Valentine’s Day surprising cherished recipients with Singing Valentines sent from a loved one or secret admirer.

Quartets will croon sweet songs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. They will appear at jobs, homes, restaurants, or wherever their songs’ recipients happen to be.

The quartets are members of A Cappella Joy Chorus, a championship a cappella women’s chorus based in Kirkland. AJoy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the love of music to women of all ages through education and dedication to excellence. Singing Valentines are part of their fund raising campaign to further their efforts.
