Lake Washington celebrates beginning of basketball season | Photos

The Lake Washington basketball teams celebrated the beginning of the winter sports season with the first annual Kang Madness event on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Both the boys and girls high school varsity teams, along with JV and all of the programs youth teams were in attendance, as well as parents and community members to celebrate the new season.

Those who attended participated in various basketball themed events, including musical chairs, which involved shooting baskets, blind basketball and a shooting contest between Lake Washington Athletic Director George Crowder and Assistant Principal Prato Barone.

The Kangs begin the season next week with the girls taking on Shorecrest on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Shorecrest and the boys against Interlake at home at 8 p.m. on Dec. 2.
