Thousands of literary enthusiasts flocked to downtown Kirkland over the weekend for the 2011 Northwest BookFest.

The event – which was held at various venues throughout downtown, including Peter Kirk Park, the King County Public Library and the Kirkland Performance Center – featured two days of workshops, readings, storytelling, book signings and entertainment.

Nearly all book genres were represented.
