Kirkland All Stars softball beats Utah for 2-0 start at regionals

The Kirkland Majors All Stars softball team continued the Western Regional tournament Monday evening with a 12-3 win over Utah. The team, representing Washington, is now 2-0 in the tournament.

The team had 12 runs on 13 hits, playing a full game against the team from Utah. They beat a team from Montana the day before.

During the game, Lisa Nelson pitched four innings, giving up three runs and striking out four. Tori Bivens took over on the mound for two innings, striking out two and allowing one hit, one walk and no runs.

The team faces Idaho on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
