Fire-breathing art

The Kirkland Art Center’s ‘dragon’ won the Downtown Association’s annual pumpkin carving contest. It took eight pumpkins to make this elaborate sculpture, which won the $100 grand prize.

More than a dozen Kirkland merchants entered the contest with honorable mentions going to Mermaid Hair Extensions, Vovina Soul ease, Urban Barber and Barkz. Contributed
