Man arrested after knife incident

A Kirkland man was arrested early Thursday morning after his girlfriend told deputies he attacked her with a knife at a bed and breakfast near La Conner.

The 35-year-old Kirkland woman was at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon Thursday being treated for a hand injury.

The man is in the Skagit County Jail.
