Speeding to a first-place performance

Lake Washington’s Cody Wilson (5) speeds to first place in the 100-meter run in 11.18 during the April 19 track and meet versus Juanita and Redmond at Lake Washington High. Other Lake Washington winners were: Xavier Betancourt (200), 4×100 relay (Samuel Showalter, Betancourt, Franco Oliveri and Wilson), Brady Gockel (shot put and javelin), Jacob Smith (discus), James Lane (pole vault), Yael Pasumansky (100), Thayer Davis (200), Gracie Sturdevant (400), Claire Cocales (800), Taryn Chisholm (100 and 300 hurdles), 4×100 relay (Kaysha Walford, Davis, Chisholm and Pasumansky), 4×200 relay (Walford, Ari Issa, Sturdevant and Davis), 4×400 relay (names not available), Haimanot Hansen (javelin) and Mathilda Smith (high jump). Juanita winners were Erin Petrov (1,600) and Katrina Teo (pole vault).
