The City of Kirkland will hold a send-off rally for the Kirkland majors softball all-stars at 6 p.m. July 18 at the Marina Park Pavilion, 25 Lakeshore Plaza Drive. Mayor Amy Walen will be speaking, and the community is invited to cheer on the team as it prepares to depart for the Western Regionals in San Bernardino, California.

“These talented girls are Washington State champions, and we are proud to support them as they compete in the Western Region (starting July 21) on a path to the World Series championship,” said Mayor Walen. “This is an exciting achievement and I encourage our community to join me at the rally to show support and wish them well as they head to California for the regional tournament.”

The regionals winner will advance to the Little League World Series on Aug. 8-15 in Portland, Oregon.
