The Northwest University volleyball team clinched the third seed in the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament with a 3-1 win over Multnomah University on Nov. 5 in Portland, Ore.

The Eagles finished the regular season 18-7 and 15-5 in conference play, including five wins to wrap up the regular season schedule.

Northwest University was scheduled to play Warner Pacific, the No. 6 conference seed, in the first round of the conference tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the NU Pavilion in Kirkland. Results were not available at the Reporter’s press deadline.

The NU women’s soccer team went on a wild run to the conference championship match before losing to Carroll College, 2-0, on Nov. 7 in Springfield, Ore. Northwest beat Eastern Oregon, 3-2, and Southern Oregon, 1-0, to reach the final.

Next, the Eagles await announcement of the NAIA national tournament pairings on Nov. 14.

The men’s soccer team lost to Corban, 2-0, in the first round of the conference tournament.

The men’s and women’s soccer teams both finished seventh at the conference championships.
